Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in the performing arts (now known as Maureen O'Hara), would be considered, in America's eyes, into the class of child prodigies. For a young Irish girl with talented parents and extended families, these characteristics were a naturally. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished refuge within Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th of 1920. The mother of Maureen, Marguerita Lililburn FitzSimons a skilled contralto.
